Acquired fatness vs lifelong fatness

Anyone knows how is different acquired fatness from lifelong fatness? I mean if you were slim all your life and gotten fat like at 18, vs having been fat all your life, is there a difference between the shapes?

I imagine being fat your whole life, you are just used to it. Im open to learning if Im wrong though! As someone who used to be skinny and ate family sized meals to balloon up to over 300lbs, its an adjustment. Increasing appetite, struggling to get up, my belly getting in the way of things, and getting winded after a decent walk.

For me, it’s been quite the liberating release the past several years. I was quite the bony kid growing up. Could see my ribs until I was about 35. Having a belly and fat rolls gives me a kind of confidence in my physical presence I didn’t have when I was skinny. Same for my wife, who gained a bunch after her first pregnancy and grew into a lovely full-figured fatty 👍❤️

I've been fat or the very least chubby my entire life and its definitely something I'm relatively used to but I feel like it'd be hard for me to differenciate the two as I've never been on the other end of the spectrum

Thank you for your responses and experiences.
I wanted to know if you think theres a way to distinguish between a person who has been fat since childhood over a person who acquired obesity (☺️) after adolescency just with seeing their bodies

I have been at least chubby all my life. However, I got properly fat as a teen and young adult and then gained to become really obese in middle age. I definitly feel different now at my highest weight of 500 lbs. than when I was 300 lbs. 20 years ago. My appetite has noticeably gone up while my mobility has very much decreased.

I been fat for just about my whole life. Only to lose some weight. I wasn’t satisfied with the weight loss; only to regain the weight and then some. I went from chubby girl, fat tween, in between and now fat woman.

I've been fat my whole life, and properly obese since I was maybe eight or nine, much to my mother's chagrin. In early twenties, I lost a good bit of weight at my doctor's urging, though I was still clinically obese at my lowest. I regained quickly and very intentionally, and I just kept going from there.

I was fat all over before the weight loss, although I always had a big belly. When I regained with intensity through stuffing, I gained a lot of visceral fat. Even at my current weight, I have more firmness in my belly than one might expect of someone very supersized. I definitely think, while genetics is the major factor, there's something to the theory that incredibly rapid gains and regular stuffings lead to more hard gut fat.
